Tis’ the Season to be jolly. How can you not be? It is such a wonderful time of year. The month leading up to Christmas is really the best. Decorating, putting up the tree, Christmas music (which my husband always thinks I start to early…is that possible?), buying gifts for loved ones, and eating lots of warm comforting food. This was Noah’s first Christmas, which made it even more special. We have a very busy few days around Christmas spending time with our families. It can sometimes be a whirlwind of a few days, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
It has been alot of fun having Noah here this year. He is such a good little helper, helping momma wrap presents. 🙂
Noah has really started to notice Sadie lately. It’s pretty cute to see them interact with each other! How big does this guy look sitting up in his bumbo?!
We started out on Christmas Eve by going over to Logan’s aunt Kristy’s house for lunch. We spent time with family and opened gifts. Then we headed out to Newspring for their Christmas Eve service. This was our 3rd year to go and loved it just like always! This year we sat with Jami and Gary. Noah got to give Jami lots of snuggles during the service. We actually spent Christmas Eve at home this year. Usually we spend the night at my parents, but it just seemed easier this year to keep Noah at home in his own bed. Early Christmas morning we went out to my parent’s house. We had banana french toast and eggs waiting for us. This may be a new Christmas morning tradition because they were delicious! That afternoon we went over to Logan’s dad’s house and ate dinner, open gifts, and hung out with family.
We always have such an amazing time over there. Everyone spends the night, which makes it so fun! Every year Mike, Logan’s dad and Noah’s Papa, makes homemade cinnamon rolls. They are SO good, we look forward to them all year! Noah’s cousin Ella was giving him some snuggles before bedtime. She LOVES baby Noah! 🙂
The day after Christmas we went back over to my parent’s house to eat lunch and open gifts. We had a yummy taco bar that we all stuffed ourselves on!
My dad hanging up the newest Christmas ornament..NOAH! Cutest ornament on the tree 🙂 Noah got to spend lots of time with his Aunt Nellie (or aunt WeeWee)! Even after all this we still had one more Christmas. We packed up and headed back home for Logan’s mom and all his brothers to come over to our house. We had sandwiches, finger foods, and lots of goodies. I ate so much carmel popcorn I don’t think I can even look at anymore until Christmas 2013. We opened more gifts and then played a game. We played “awkward family photos” and it was so fun! Of course I think Logan and his brothers could make just about any game hilarious.
We had such a great Christmas, as always. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family who make it so special every year.
