10 Months. It has come and gone. My baby is almost a year! Unbelievable.
Pictures with his stuffed broccoli are pretty pointless at this point (since he won’t sit still) but I’ve decided to at least finish what we started.
Noah started throwing things this month. At first we encouraged it, but then he started throwing EVERYTHING. Sooo we had to stop making such a big deal about it for awhile.
He has started dancing too! It is the. cutest. thing. ever.
“what makes you beautiful” by One Direction and “22” by Taylor Swift always gets him dancing. Kind of funny, but it’s true. 🙂
We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and so Noah is always getting into the cabinets. I really don’t mind that he gets in most of them because I want him to be able to explore. There are a few however we need to get cabinet locks on, like the one that holds our cleaning supplies.
Separation anxiety has picked up this month. Mostly if he is tired or cranky for any reason, then I can’t leave the room without him losing his marbles. So far he hasn’t gotten upset over me leaving him with anyone else though.
So far he hasn’t showed a huge interest in walking. He did start walking with a push walker this month and does great with that. Otherwise he is so quick with crawling he prefers that. He loves it when we crawl (chase) after him, he’ll speed crawl while laughing and shaking his head back and forth.
Trying to hide behind our mirror.
Noah had his first pool experience this month! The water was FREEZING the first time and he didn’t mind one bit! Since then he’s been in several times. He loves it!
The water and sun wears him out!
Look at how his hair curls when it’s wet!
Sadly, he is still not sleeping through the night. He did great around month 7, but not so great since. I keep thinking “Oh, it’s a phase..teething..growing…yada yada yada. Whatever it is, it’s an ongoing “phase”. We all hope he grows out of it sooner than later! Its a struggle still to get him to nap. I’ve tried skipping the morning nap to try and get a long afternoon nap but that hasn’t gone real great. He will go down super easy but hasn’t slept longer than 2 hours (one time). Every time he wakes up with a poopy diaper. UGH. Hoping this improves soon too.
We did have a scary thing happen this month. 3:30 am I hear Noah wake up and start to cry so i roll over turn on the screen to the video monitor just in time to see him take a nose dive right out of his crib. We’ve never jumped out of bed so quick! He really wasn’t as shaken up by as we were. Logan lowered the crib to the last notch that night. Hopefully that lasts us awhile longer!
This is what happens when you try to skip a nap…
He’s still eating a mix of purees and finger foods. However, now it’s more finger foods than purees. We try to still have fun with food, but it can also be stressful. Now that it’s majority finger foods he has become much pickier!
