Noah’s Nursery Tour…

When we found out we were having a boy we began nursery planning right away! It was so much fun for us to design Noah’s nursery. I knew that I wanted to use grey, orange and turquoise. Overall, I wanted it be a very calming and soft space that he would be able to grow in. 

I spy a little striped monkey….

 

Grey is the color scheme we have throughout our whole house. We left part of the grey that was already in his room for the darker stripes and repainted the other walls a lighter shade. Logan built the wainscoting on the walls. I think that made a huge difference! It was a lot of work and it turned out great!

I picked out all the fabrics for his bedding and had a lady on etsy make it for me. Since Noah is now 8 months and likes to pull and lay on his bumper, the quality has not held up like I had hoped. We went with no crib skirt since we like more of a modern look. The quilt and pillow were made by my sister-in-law (Noah’s aunt). They turned out great and I can’t wait to use the quilt more as he gets older!

I really wanted one of the organic bloom frames but to get a 16×20 it was pretty expensive so my crafty husband made me one. To be honest I doubted his abilities at first, but it turned out better than I could have hoped for!

We chose 2 bible verses that we liked and one saying I found on etsy. We just made these on a word document and printed them out.

We found our glider at Babies R Us and I have been very happy with it. The ottoman that went with the glider was another $200 and we didn’t really like it. We searched for months for an ottoman we liked and didn’t have any luck, so my DIYer husband made us one. I don’t know what I’d do without him!

This dresser was the very first thing we purchased for the nursery. We found it at an antique store and with a few modifications and a little TLC it turned out just how we had hoped!

I had a hard time getting great quality photos between the lighting and this little monkey crawling all over me 🙂

It was a lot of fun designing and seeing the nursery come together. Hope this little squirt enjoys it, I know we have!
