A few weekends ago my mom, Noah and I all headed down to Oklahoma, where my mom is from , to visit family. It was a short weekend trip but we all had a great time.
The trip down was not the smoothest car ride with a 10 month old, but we made it through. We waited to leave around his nap time and he slept about 2 hours(out of a 5 hour trip). The rest of the trip involved rest stations (to nurse and change diapers), introducing a different toy every 5 minutes and a lot of puffs.
Somehow my mom (she knew someone on the “inside”) scored us the honeymoon suite at the hotel!
HAHA! Sweet 80’s decor around our jacuzzzi tub! 🙂
Over all Noah’s first hotel stay was a success and the extra space in the room was EXTREMELY nice!
This was Noah’s first trip down to Oklahoma and first time meeting lots of family! We had a great time catching up, but one of the highlights was our trip out to the farm!
This is our granny’s house. It’s the perfect picture of a farm house. I love the old stove that’s inside and the (old attic) smell when you walk up the creaky stairs. It was such a fun little play area that always had little old cars and tractors to scoot around.
First on our list was to let Noah go to see chickens!
Then we headed over to the barn to check out the tractors!
Noah LOVED riding on the tractor with his Pa! I think he would have sat on it all day if we’d let him. 🙂
Noah and my momma (his nana).
Noah and his “great pa”.
and so it begins….boys and bugs!
After this failed attempt to grab a grasshopper, we went to check out the horses and feed the cows!
terrified not impressed of the horses.
then we all hopped in the bed of the truck and headed out to the pasture to feed the cows! Noah and I sat towards the back of the bed and so he tolerated the cows much better. Maybe because they weren’t quite as close? It was fun!
We all had so much fun at the farm! I wish it was easier to get there more often.
4 generations in this picture. My mom, mamaw, Noah and myself.
My aunt Candace her daughter Cate, Mamaw, Noah and I.
Cate and Noah are only a week apart! How fun is that?
Such cute little stinkers!
We also sent time with my other aunt Kristy her son Matthew, Candace’s other child, Ben, and her husband Broc. Somehow we didn’t get pictures with everyone (besides the photobomb). I always hate it when I don’t get all the pictures I want after the fact!
It was such a great weekend! It makes me sad that we are not able to see everyone more often. In a perfect world wouldn’t it be nice to just snap your fingers and be wherever your family is?!? We look forward to our next visit though!
