Moving.

I tend to be an emotional person. Too many feelings and too much thinking. I knew moving out of our house would be tough, mentally. However here I am a day of packing and I make my way into Noah + Beau’s room. Over the last 8 years it was first a “catch all” room, a spare bedroom, a toy room, Noah’s room , and lastly a room shared between the 2 older boys. As I get the first box packed away, all I’m left staring at are holes on an empty wall. I know these are all just “things”. The frames, the walls, the house in general…but here I am alone staring at a full box with “Noah + Beau’s room” written on it, with tears rolling down my face. I can’t mentally stare at empty walls in Leo’s room (our nursery) for another week. So that room will have to wait. This house. Our first house. The one we grew 3 babies in, brought 3 babies home to, those 3 babies had all their first year “firsts” here. I’ve loved this house. We chose every paint color, every piece of tile, I’ve watched my husband put SO much work into this house. We are all over every Β little part of this house. It’s us. We’ve gone from a just the two of us to a family of 5 here. The house we will leave behind, but thankfully we will keep the memories we’ve had here. I do look forward to our future house and watching the boys grow there-just reflecting on all the life that we’ve lived in this one. Our forever first home.

I’m thankful I made this video awhile back and will cherish it forever and ever. Click the link to watch.

5 + 3 year check-ups

5 + 3 year check-ups

Just a short post so I don’t ever forget how chaotic my days are. I took all 3 boys to the pediatrician for the 2 big boys’ well visits. I try to avoid taking all three of them with me to the Dr. They ALWAYS end up on the floor. crawling over the table, under the table. Not just the baby–ALL OF THEM. Why must they touch everything at the dr’s office?! They NEED soap (instant hand sanitizer hanging on the wall) like umpteen billion times. Sorry Dr. Reddy we just used ALL the soap (and half of it didn’t even make it on their little hands). Jumping off of chairs-it’s nuts. OH and for anybody who is in a room semi-close to ours…that’s not a lion you hear–it’s just my three year old. He LEGIT thinks he is a real lion at times. Anyways I did manage to snap of few pics of these crazies and even through the chaos it was, these still make me smile. I know they will look back and remember these things as fun..not chaotic and stressful, as they can be for me.

Lake Trip {2017}

Lake Trip {2017}

We headed to the lake last week with Logan’s family. Β His parents have recently bought a house on the lake and this was our first time to visit..I foresee many memories at the lake! We all had a great time. The kids played, went out on the boat, tubed, fished, played games and ate lots of good food. πŸ™‚

Texas {family vacay}

Texas {family vacay}

We all enjoyed our time visiting the Logan family at their home in Texas. I miss seeing them everyday, but really enjoy getting to spend weekends together all under one roof. Quality time over quantity…right??

We headed down with the kiddos on Thursday afternoon, stocked with plenty of movies and snacks. We’ve had a few little trips this summer and all of our boys have done surprising very well with traveling. It’s been enjoyable every time! I give a lot of the credit to letting them watch movies while we are on the road.

Friday the kiddos stayed back at home and the “grown-ups” headed to Six Flags. We had THE BEST time. The lines were almost non-existent and we got to ride several roller coasters. We were all beat by time we left #feelingold

Saturday morning we drove to Fort Worth to see the cattle walk. It was a fun little adventure with all the kids. We also ended up having lunch at a delicious local BBQ restaurant. The line wrapped around the building and now we know why (#worththewait!).

We also spent a lot of time just hanging out and swimming in the pool. Which is what we were most looking forward to. Relaxing and hanging out with friends.
