Oklahoma trip {part 2}

Saturday morning we made it out to the farm. My pa keeps up with it and the animals but nobody lives there anymore. Beau loved chasing the chickens, Noah loved seeing the eggs! They both enjoyed seeing the cows…from a distance. HA! They did comment on their grooooooooss smell though!

March Birthdays.

We have several March birthdays with my husbands side of the family. It was fun to have one big celebration when we were all together. I love seeing all the kiddos getting to hang out!

Our everyday.

All these photos are sort of clumped together, but trying to get caught up!

The other day you went and pulled out your camera and started repositioning objects to take photos of them. You were so proud. So was I. πŸ™‚

You have been learning to use scissors. You do really well!

I’d say you two get along 80% of the time. You love each other like crazy and irritated each other just the same. These sweet moments make my momma heart happy.

I’m not sure why, but I just love this photo. Actually, I know why. I’t just a photo of the mundane but a moment that I want to remember.

Logan’s parents took the older boys for a night—FREEDOM! HA! Seriously though it was so refreshing. After leisurely waking up and drinking our coffee and doing a whole lot of nothing we headed out to run a few errands. First stop- espresso to go go. A favorite of ours! Then we walked down the street to Architectural Salvage. We love doing stuff like that. Especially when we are down to only one kiddo!

Our everyday.

Both of you boys….always trying to be like daddy. You put your pencils behind your ears and keep a tape measurer hooked onto your waist. It’s the cutest.

My little snacker here. CONSTANTLY wanting food and in the pantry and fridge. You think it’s pretty cool to eat the apple whole and you do pretty good with it!

Gender Reveal {baby #3}

Well I haven’t updated my blog in forever, but I wanted a way to share our gender reveal for baby #3! I love having these memories all in one place to look back on.

This time we decided not to find out the gender at our sono and instead find out with some of our closest family and friends. Thank you to all that came, you are all so special to us!

It was fun to see the baby and Noah really enjoyed being at the sono, it was hard to not find out though. I took the envelope to my sweet friend Jen (who also photographed everything). It was so hard not being able to talk to her about it for a whole 25 hours, HA!

We had family come early for sandwiches and then everyone else come a bit later for the reveal.

Jen had set up the cutest little voting station for everyone to cast their Vote for Boy or Girl.

And then to the reveal…

Special thank you to this girl below. For helping me pull this off, keeping a secret, giving us these photos that we will treasure forever, and just for being one of the best friends a girl could ask for. I love ya!

So here we are a family of soon to be 5! I’m a little outnumbered but I would’t trade these blonde hair blue eyed boys for anything. πŸ™‚

My first Mother’s Day….as a Mom.

I couldn’t have asked for a better day. Logan always goes above and beyond to make these kinds of days special.

It started with breakfast in bed from my boys.

scrambled eggs, cinnabon cinnamon roll (with extra icing), watermelon, an orange and orange juice. He overdid it for sure, but I’m glad he did. πŸ™‚

This cinnamon roll was amazing and I took my time eating it. I didn’t want it to end!

He also gave me a certificate for not one but THREE massages. I am looking forward to using them!

My breakfast was also delivered with fresh flowers. I never buy fresh flowers, but I really like having them on my kitchen island. They just make me smile and I think I will buy them more often!

Logan took care of Noah so that I could sleep in a little longer. It felt great to stay in bed and be lazy! Once I decided I needed to get out of bed we all got ready and headed out to church.

This is motherhood right here. Having a baby hanging onto your leg while trying to get ready!

We both decided to leave Noah in the nursery for the first time. I know I know it was probably a little overkill to wait so long but until recently we just weren’t ready. Today we just felt like it was time and really had no problem with it. It was so nice to sit in the auditorium again and be able to actually give our full attentions. The volunteer in the nursery said Noah did great! She said he started playing and crawling around right away.

After church it just worked out for us to meet up with Logan’s parents to visit his grandma who is in an assisted living center. She hasn’t been around Noah much, so it was fun to take him there.

Then we headed out to lunch together and walked around to a couple stores. We scored on a big sale at gymboree (I rarely shop here) and found Noah a couple random things.

It was a beautiful day outside, so when we got home we went out for a nice long walk.

We kept our eyes open for good landscaping ideas. There is ALOT of work to be done on ours.

Such a great day! Logan made all my food, didn’t let me do any laundry and did the dishes. A girl could get use to that!

My sweet little baby and I.

I am so incredibly thankful to have this little blessing call me mom, and I thank God everyday for him.

Today I squeezed him a little tighter and stared at him a little longer.

I am so grateful to be his mom, and even more grateful to have a husband who appreciates me and loves us both unconditionally.

I hope all the other mommas out there had a wonderful day as well!

Happy Mother’s Day!

A Day in the Life of a 7 Month Old.

We are now closer to having a 1 year old than a newborn. Now that is weird to think! So much I feel like has changed this month. Noah is voicing(crying, screaming, laughing, babbling) his opinion much more these days. It is fun to have this change, but also a little exhausting at times. I’m not complaining because I love the boy just how he is…buuuuuut his new nickname we’ve been using is DIVA. If that tells you anything.

Happy 7 Month to this Lil’ Monkey. The pictures will show our new normal…

This is our new normal πŸ™‚

He is developing and showing alot of personality lately. He is still a happy, smiley boy but has been making his dislikes VERY known. The fits. O BOY..the fits. All I do is lay him on the changing table and its back arching, crying (I’m talking alligator tears),rolling over, attempting to climb of the table kind of fits. It’s a full on wrestling match for both of us. Then the minute I’m done changing him he is all smiles again. DIVA. I may or may not give him his nose sucker as a distraction. Yes it ends up in his mouth sometimes (gross, I know), and yes I’ve tried other things but this keeps him entertained every time. Total mom fail or pure genius…depends on when you ask me. πŸ™‚

IMG_3529 IMG_3527 IMG_3512

These were best pics I was going to get. I just told myself at least they are a true example of what he’s like most days.

New Tricks:

Saying Momma! Woot Woot! After about a week or so of solid “DaDa’s” he looked straight at me and said “Momma”. Melted my heart. For the next week or so every babble was “Momma”. Since then you’ll hear a Momma or DaDa come out every now and then with a lot of jibberish in between.

Crawling! It started out as army crawling and still is most the time, but he does get up on all fours and attempt “real crawling” at times. Whatever he is doing…he’s gotten quick. I leave him in the living room, next thing he has made it into our bedroom down the hall! WHAT?!?! How can my little guy be doing this? He loves exploring though, and it is so neat to watch his little brain work to figure things out.

IMG_2785 IMG_2768

O the places he goes!

IMG_2899 IMG_2928 IMG_2957

Honestly I do kind of love that he is mobile. It’s a lot of fun and I like that he keeps me busy (and the fact that there is no turning back now, I better learn to love it!) I am sure it will only continue to get worse more fun from here!

Since he really started liking his food this month he has continued to sleep through the night! I’d say 5 nights a week, not every night. I’ll take it though! We usually get him in bed by 7:30pm and he will wake up around 6am ish. Give or take 30 minutes. It is AMAZING what an uninterrupted night of sleep can do for you! I feel like I can take over the world!!! Okay I may be exaggerating a little…or am I?

Naps are little more tricky. His morning nap is pretty solid. I put him down about 2 hours after he wakes up. You’d think he wouldn’t be tired yet, but if I miss my window he will NOT nap. He will sleep usually for 1.5-2 hours. Same with the afternoon, 2 hours after he’s been up I attempt to put him down. I use to push his afternoon nap later and he would fight me and never go down. So if i catch my window of opportunity he will usually nap anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. I think every kid is so different with naps, I’ve really just tried to figure out what works for him and for right now this is it.

Nap time is just as refreshing for mom as it is baby. I do know that.

IMG_2725 IMG_2877

Sometimes you still have to let them nap on you. Some days it just makes everything better.

Food has been fun this month! Noah seems to eat whatever we give him so far!

Happy little eater!

Super Baby?

Eating in a high chair at a restaurant for the first time. He loved sitting up with everyone else!

Β IMG_2908

Happy eater, maybe. Clean eater? Not at all.

Foods he likes: butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, apples, mango, peaches, pears, prunes.

Foods he doesn’t like: green beans (believe it or not the above pic is of peas, you’d think it would be green beans!).

We have started mixing some prune juice in with his oatmeal in the mornings to help with some constipation issues. It seems to help him so far.

Photo Stragglers

This was his first time to wear shoes. I just never saw much point to him wearing them before, now its still hit or miss. Depends on the outfit. πŸ™‚ How big does he look though?!
